Do Hype discounts stack with my Shopify discounts?

Yes, under exactly the same rules as two native Shopify discounts. Every Hype Discounts campaign is a Shopify Function discount, so Shopify — not Hype — decides whether it can combine with anything else. The rule that catches most merchants: combinations have to be turned on for both discounts. Allowing it on the Hype side alone does nothing.
Setting it up
- In the Hype campaign, open the Combinations section. Tick the classes this campaign may combine with: Product discounts, Order discounts, Shipping discounts.
- In your Shopify admin, open the other discount and tick the matching box in its own Combinations section.
- Save both.
A campaign has one class of its own, decided by its type: Multi products discount, Volume discount and Gift with purchase are product discounts, Order discount is an order discount, and Cart goals can produce product, order and shipping discounts at once. So to combine a Hype order discount with a Shopify product discount, the Hype campaign must allow Product discounts and the Shopify one must allow Order discounts.
New campaigns start with all three unticked.
Shopify's limits still apply
- Two product discounts cannot apply to the same line item unless you are on Shopify Plus.
- Only one shipping discount can apply to an order.
- Your store can have 25 active automatic discounts in total, and every live Hype campaign uses one of them.
All of these are explained in Combining discounts and the Shopify discount limits cheat sheet.
Two Hype campaigns at once
The same rules apply between two Hype campaigns — they are two Shopify discounts. Tick the matching combination boxes on both.
If the campaigns are meant to be one offer with one code or link, put both discounts in one campaign instead. That puts them on a single Shopify discount, which sidesteps the combination settings entirely.
What live pricing shows
Live pricing shows the price after the Hype campaign that owns it. It does not know about your Shopify discounts, another app's discounts, or a second Hype campaign, so the price a shopper sees while browsing can be higher than the final cart price when discounts stack. The cart and checkout are always correct.
If the second discount is being ignored
Check, in this order: both Combinations settings, whether both discounts are targeting the same line item, and whether the second discount's own conditions are met. Why a discount didn't apply walks through the rest.
