Can I set different discounts per market or currency?

You can choose which markets a campaign runs in, and you can set a different fixed amount for each of them. You cannot set a different percentage per market — a percentage is a percentage everywhere, and Shopify applies it to whatever the local price is, so it needs no conversion.

Choosing markets

Every campaign has a Target markets section, set to all markets by default. Click Edit to pick specific ones. A shopper browsing in a market the campaign does not target never sees the campaign and never gets the discount.

Per-market amounts

Tick Customize amounts for each market and Hype shows a row per market where you can override the value. The tooltip states the rule: "Set different discount values for each market. If none is set, the default discount value applies."

  • The option appears only for Amount values, not for Percentage values.
  • Any market you leave blank inherits your primary market's amount and is converted by Shopify at checkout, using the exchange rate at that moment.
  • The same per-market override exists for thresholds: minimum purchase amounts, cart goal subtotals and volume discount tier amounts.

Use it when a straight conversion produces an awkward number — €10 off in Europe and £8 off in the UK rather than £8.63.

B2B

The market filter is the whole of Hype's B2B handling. A campaign left on the default all markets runs in your B2B markets too, which is usually not what you want: the same campaign then applies on top of your B2B catalog prices, and Hype's storefront blocks appear to logged-in B2B customers.

If you sell both retail and B2B from one store, select your retail markets explicitly on every campaign rather than leaving Target markets on all.

Hype does not read or change Shopify B2B catalogs and price lists. Those set the buyer's price; a Hype campaign discounts from it.

If a discount is not applying in one market

  • Check the market is actually selected in Target markets.
  • Check the market exists and is active in Shopify admin → Settings → Markets. A campaign cannot target a market your store does not sell in.
  • Check the campaign's minimum purchase amount. If the threshold was set in your primary currency and not overridden, the converted amount can land above what a local shopper spends.
