Setting up live pricing

Live pricing needs three switches turned on: a shop-wide toggle, a per-campaign toggle, and a pricing schema that matches your theme. Set them in that order.
1. Turn it on for the shop
In Hype Discounts, go to Settings.
Under Live storefront prices, switch the toggle to Enabled.
Under Theme, confirm the theme Hype should check. Hype uses this theme for the schema and for verifying app blocks. Leave it unset and Hype uses your live theme.
Save.
2. Create the pricing schema
The schema tells Hype where prices sit in your theme's HTML.
Auto set-up with AI
On Settings, click Auto set-up with AI.
If your storefront is password-protected, Hype asks for the password: Enter Store password to continue. Type it and click Proceed. Hype uses it only to reach your storefront; without it the scan cannot load your pages.
Hype scans your store: Scanning your store, then Identifying CSS selectors with AI. It looks at your homepage, a collection page, and a product page on the theme you selected.
Wait. The panel says This may take up to 10 minutes. Feel free to leave this page and come back later. The page refreshes itself while the scan runs, so you can close it and return.
When it finishes, the schema is saved and applied automatically.
Auto set-up with AI is only available on paid plans. On a development store or a free plan the button is disabled, with the tooltip AI-powered live pricing is only available on paid plans.
If the scan cannot find prices you will see We were unable to identify CSS selectors and a Retry with AI button. Retry once; if it fails again, contact support or write the schema by hand.
Editing the schema by hand
Click Edit Selectors to open Live pricing schema, a JSON editor. The schema is an array of entries, each with a type of product-card, product-page or text, and the keys template, selector and replaceContent. product-card entries also need parentSelector. wrapperSelector is optional and narrows the search.
replaceContent is your theme's own price markup with Hype's values substituted in. Copy the original HTML exactly and change only the price values, so your theme's classes and attributes survive. The available values are {{price}}, {{discountedPrice}}, {{discountPercentage}} and {{discountAmount}}. Only simple {{ variable }} substitution is supported — Liquid filters and tags do nothing here.
Editing the JSON marks the schema as yours: Hype stops warning you that the AI-generated schema might be stale.
3. Turn it on for the campaign
Go to your campaigns list.
Open the three-dot menu on the campaign and choose Enable live pricing.
Confirm in the dialog. It warns: Note: If another automatic campaign has live pricing enabled, it will be disabled automatically.
The campaign then shows a Live pricing badge. The option only appears on an Active campaign whose discount type is Order Discount, Multi Products Discount or Volume Discount.
Enabling live pricing on a campaign automatically turns off SSR live pricing for the same campaign — the two cannot both be on.
4. Test it
On Settings, click Test Live pricing.
Enter a Test Value. The help text reads: This will open your site with {value}% discount applied for all products.
Click Preview Theme.
Your storefront opens with that percentage applied to every product, regardless of your campaigns. If prices change, your schema works. If they do not, the selectors are wrong — rerun the AI set-up or edit them.
Troubleshooting
"Pricing schema differs from your current theme settings." You ran the AI set-up against a different theme than the one selected now. Rerun it on the current theme. Live pricing keeps working in the meantime, but the selectors may no longer match.
"Live pricing schema is missing." No schema is saved. Run Auto set-up with AI or add one under Edit Selectors.
Prices are stale after a change. Campaign data is cached for up to 10 minutes. See Clearing the cache.
