Product price

The product price block renders Hype's own price display on the product page: the original price, the discounted price, and a message such as Save 20%. It is offered on campaigns whose discount type is Order Discount or Multi Products Discount.

Heads up: a future update will retire this block in favour of live pricing, which rewrites the price your theme already prints on product and collection pages. Campaigns that use the block keep working, and it stays available in the block picker until then.

It is a block you position yourself, so it does not replace your theme's price. To rewrite the price your theme already prints, use live pricing instead.

Add it

1. Open the campaign's Blocks page and select the Product page tab.
2. Click Add campaign block and choose Product Price Block.
3. Copy the App block ID, add the Hype: Product Price block in your theme editor, and paste the ID into its App identifier field. Full steps: Adding a block to your theme.
4. Click Next, configure the three blocks, and save.

Content settings in the Hype admin

The block is built from up to three stacked parts, configured as First block, Second block and Third block. Each one can be set to:

• None — leave that slot empty.
• Original price — the undiscounted price. Tick Show original price as strike off to draw a line through it.
• Discounted price — the price after the campaign's discount.
• Custom price message — free text. Tick Show discount as badge to render it as a badge rather than plain text.

A typical setup is Original price (struck off), then Discounted price, then a Custom price message reading Save {{discount_percentage}}.

The message accepts {{discount_code}}, {{discount_amount}}, {{discount_percentage}}, {{product_price}} and {{discounted_price}}. See Variables you can use in block text.

Style settings in the theme editor

Open the Hype: Product Price block. Its settings are grouped by the three parts.

The App identifier must match the App block ID from the Hype admin, or the block renders nothing.

Preview

Inside the Shopify theme editor the block renders placeholder prices so you can style it before a campaign is live.

Limits

• The block prices the product currently on screen. It does not price collection pages or product cards — that is what live pricing does.
• It is not offered for Cart Goals, Gift with Purchase or Volume Discount campaigns.
• Prices are formatted with your store's money format. Whole numbers keep their decimals unless Hide Decimals for Whole Numbers is enabled on the Hype: Discounts app embed.
